We're hoping to see our luggage today.....stay tuned. Blake had a business meeting last night at a pizzaria--and actually ran into a friend of ours who flew into town for the weekend.
Last night's sleep was interesting. Between jet lag and the neighborhood dog and cat fight going on outside our window, let's just say that coffee is really helpful this morning!
The kids needed a good walk last night. Our friends said there is a park about 5 minutes away. (long pause) Then clarified, "It doesn't have any playground equipment of course, but it's a field where the kids can play." I hadn't expected otherwise. The walk there and back took us by a cow and several donkeys, people burning trash, one beautiful field of sunflowers and two men washing their cars with stream water and along a road with snow-capped mountains. Beauty and the mundane juxtaposed. There were shepherds with their sheep at the park. Real shepherds! (I'm not quoting from the story of Jesus' birth! (-;
